Remote desktop connection fails

I run XP Prof, SP2 on my PC and on my Laptop.
When I try to establish RDC from my PC to the Laptop, the connection crashes just in this moment when the login screen should
appear. The connection exists for a short time only!
RDC from the PC to other XP Systems work fine!
RDC from Laptop to PC works fine too!
Any hint?

What type of connection does the laptop have (Wired/Wireless?)

What type of connection does the laptop have (Wired/Wireless?)

I tried both connection types, wired and wireless.
The problem is the same!
