Remote Desktop connection fail

E

er

Hi All,

Win XP on internal LAN - XP firewall disabled. 3389 is not blocked in
any way internally.

Trying to use remote desktop client to users XP box just gives an error
that "The Client could not connect to the remote computer, remote
connections may not be enabled...."

This happens byname & IP address - remote connections are enabled, & the
applicable user ID is added

Any ideas how to fix ???

I want to piggy-back on this one. I have been using RDC daily from my
office to home (host) for several years without incident. Suddenly I am
getting the same error message mentioned below, and I believe it started
about a week ago right after MS pushed out 8 - 9 critical windows updates.

Any thoughts anyone?

Glen
