I read the procedure to configure remote desktop connection,(my need it sot
connect a singapore home PC from US laptop thru internet).

In the above mentioned page, under the sub title - "Connect to Your Desktop"
i find the following words..

Computers are identified on the Internet using a unique IP address. To
connect to your home computer from the Internet, you'll need to know your
home IP address. Visit one of these sites from your home computer to learn
your IP address: www.whatismyip.org.

when i access the whatismyip.org page,my singapore home PC gives an ip
address of the following format 555.55.55.5 in the browser page

but when i type ipconfig in the singapore home PC i get the following..

Ethernet adapter local area connection
Connection-specific DNS Suffix :
IP address : 111.11.11.111
Subnet mask: 222.222.222.2
Default gateway: 333.33.33.3

Now I found a difference with the IP given by the page and the IP given by
ipconfig command. Which one should I use as the IP to do the step given in
the page

Open Internet Explorer, and enter the URL http://ipaddress:port/tsweb/.

Awaiting your reply.
Thanks
Raj
