Hi

In our Dubai office, we have a small XP workgroup consisting of a PC
(nominally the server) and a couple of laptops. Files are normally stored
on the PC.

From the UK, about once a week, and using a broadband connection, I need to
be able to access the PC Server to download/upload files .

Can someone tell me if this is possible and the best way to acheive it. I
would rather not have to have the Dubai people upload files to a web server
somewhere.

Thanks

Alex

Hi

This issue might be divided into two parts.

1. Preparing a computer in the Dubai office to be available to deliver
files.

That can be done by HTTP server, ftp server, Remote desktop pr remote
control program.

It is your call what method you would like to use.

2. Connecting over the Internet to the Dubai computer.

The following page was written for individual users with Home Network, but
you can use the principles for your purpose as well.
