Remote connection will not let me enter an external IP

Hello,
My remote desktop connection will only let me browse my
local network. It will not let me enter in an external IP
address. Therefore I cannot connect to my work machine.
Can anyone tell me why this has changed. All that was done
is we added a new user profile to the computer.

we need more information to help. what is the remote computer ip? posting
the result of your local computer ipconfig /all may help.

Why do you need more info. All it comes down to is RDC
will not let me enter in a IP adress to connect to. I can
only browse my local network. It doesnt matter what IP I
connect to or what my IP is.
