remote assistance

hello and thanks for the help,
i'm trying to setup remote
assistance between 2 computers running through wireless routers. upon
requesting assistance the message remote host name could not be resolved is
displayed. I've allowed remote assistance in the windows firewall settings
and beleive i've opened port 3389 (?) in both routers.one router is a belkin
and the other a netgear. Any help would bemuch appreciated.

Opened the port -- or forwarded it to the internal IP address?
Does the request contain the public IP address of the opposite router?
