I can't connect to my friends computer to help him with
some problems he's having, the connection always times
out, we both have WinXP Pro and are using the Remote
Assistance through MSN Messanger.

Do I need to Port Forward/Trigger some ports on my
firewall, or is there something else?

PS I put this in the Remote Assistance folder here, but I
noticed a lot of people posting random problems here..so
if this isnt for the Remote Assistance Im talking about,
point me in the right direction.

Hi,

Open your firewall for port 3389, and if either of you is behind a router,
you will need to configure it for port forwarding to the internal IP of the
machine for that same port.
