Hello:
I've been asked to participate in remote assistance by a friend who needs
help with his pc.
I know for sure he is behind a firewall as I setup a router for him back a
few months ago. He is on Rogers cable [highspeed].
When he requests my help in messenger "actions -> ask for remote
assistance" we complete the accept request etc. and messenger tries to
connect us but can't. We get this message:
"Remote Assistance connection could not be established because the remote
host name could not be resolved. Please try again."
I suspect it has to do with the hardware firewall [router] but am not
certain.
I would appreciate your help.
BTW: Both computers use XP PRO.
TIA!
