Remote Assistance not working

I have the remote desktop enabled in the My comuter properties, the firewall
is on exceptions/remote ok. System services is all on automatic or manual so
when I click on invite a friend, the screen shuts off. Not the entire screen
just the Help screen..

Thanks, but no luck. I had to put xp disc in and did the scan. It scanned
and I attempted to invite someone and it closes the window.

You could try a Repair, or Upgrade setup.

If you run an XP "Upgrade"setup, from the original, or "Gold" version of the setup CD, and you have SP2 installed, it might go into
a setup loop, and you could lose your install. Uninstall SP2, BEFORE you Upgrade setup from CD (that lacks sp2 on it.)
