Remote Assistance HELP

When a invitation is sent to me via e-mail, I click on the attached file and
I get a small window that says, windows can NOT open it and it needs to know
what program created it. The attached file name is RcBuddy.MsRcIncident1

I've never used remote assistance before. So I guess I'm dead in the water
with this............ ANY ideas?????

Some old threads suggest this could be an issue with some email clients (not
Outlook or Outlook
Express) renaming the file by appending a version number to the end.

Try removing the number extension.

What operating system are you running?
- Windows XP Home Edition?
- Windows XP Professional Edition?
- Windows XP Media Center Edition?
- Windows XP Tablet PC Edition?
- Other?

What service pack level are you at?

Well I found the problem........... to answer Shenan I'm running SP2 thanks
for giving it a thought.

Al, you led me to the right direction. I could not delete the version
number on the end of the file but............ What happened is I use Eudora
email, when I received the invitation the attached file is stored in the
"attach" folder in the Eudora program. Well because the invitation was sent
to me a number of times and the new files then kept getting a new version
number. When I tried to delete the version number I could not because a
popup would come up saying that there was I file already with that name. It
took me awhile to file the 1st file sent to me.

So what I then did was find every attached invitation file sent to me in the
eudora "attach" folder and deleted them. Then had the invitation resent to
me. Well to make along story short.......... IT works great. Thanks much
for the help.
