Remote Assistance Fails (Vista -> Vista or XP)

I got RA Assistance to work once Vista to Vista via Live Messenger latest
version Now it no longer works. Initial Handshake OK. I accept their request,
they get prompted to create a pasword, I get prompted for it, enter it, RA
window opens "Attempting to connect..." Then I get message about the attempt
failed other user may have stopped/closed RA. I tried stopping Live OneCare
Firewall, still no good,

I have a very similar problem I can offer assistance to XP or Vista but can't
get it from a Vista machine, I know I can't get it from an XP machine. I get
the same message. When I try to use just remote assistance without messenger
it fails as well and I turned off firewalls on both machines including
shutting down one care. Hope someone can help with this problem
