Remote assis. pro 2 home

the home addition requesting the session is cut short every time by saying
that's not installed and yet they have service pack 2. Remote assistance is
alowed and we are using the help and support to start it off. the connection
never starts with the message on the Pro computer that the program isn't
installed. Yet it was installed.

Hi Pester,

My understanding has always been that Windows XP Home ed can't use the
Remote Assistance tool... that its only possible between Windows XP Pro
machines. I don't think this has changed.

Well, I've looked at the computer agian and they bolth are XP pro.
computers. There's no problem to be fixed on either, I was just trying to use
the new feature.
the problem still seems to be that they're not installed.

I wish to stand corrected on something I posted above. Home and Pro can
both use Remote Assistance tool. Do You have MSN Messenger installed on
both machines? If so, you can initiate a remote assistance session between
the two PCs. I'm trying to think if there are other ways.
