I seem to have followed all of the instructions.

I installed the Remote Web workplace under add/remove
programs

Remote tab in My Computer properties: added a remote user
access that I setup with Administrator & remote desktop
rights.

Now if I try to access this computer....

I did an ipconfig and wrote down the IP (we are using
Verizon DSL) and then went in to another XP workstation,
remoter desktop and tried to access the IP of the "host"
computer - but don't get a connection.

What could I be doing wrong or is this impossible with
Verizon DSL ?

OH - no firewall at this particular time although normally
there is a watchguard.

Thanks

If you're using a router, you need to forward the remote desktop port (3389)
from the external ip address that the public sees to the internal ip address
for the particular computer on your network. Otherwise you're just getting
to the router and nowhere else.
