Remote access Printing TS

Hi,

I am facing a printing problem in TS, I am using Remote access VPN client to connect to the server,
Every body is saying remote printer is not working Remote Access VPN, is works with the site to site vpn.
Could please tell what type network you are using, VPN site to site or VPN remote access or just dial-up
connection?

Please help me..!

The network type is not relevant for printing redirection problems. Printing
redirection use the same rdp protocol TS is using for connection, so if you
can make ts connection to the server your printing redirection should work.
There must be other problems if you experience this kind of problem.

Please let us know what you are doing as precise as possible and we will try
to help

Sorry for the late respond. I hope you are still reading the thread.

First what driver are you using to install the printer on your client
computer. I hope it is not taken from the OEM CD.

When you connect to TS server, the server is trying to find same printer
driver and if the driver name on the client is not found on the server the
printing redirection fails. This is the common problem when users decide to
install OEM drivers on the client computer. If this is this case uninstall
the OEM driver and install MS in-box driver. This way we will remove the
compatibility problem.

If your client is running in-box "HP DeskJet 710C" driver than

1. On the server please open "Event Viewer" and read printing related ERROR
message. See the date for the latest message. You should have some clue why
the printing redirection is failing

2. If this is not helping I please open registry on the client and find:

"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server
Client\Default\AddIns\RDPDR\HP DeskJet 710C" key

and delete it. be careful and make sure not to delete any other keys
