Reminer Pop Up With on Way to Close

I keep getting a reminer window pop up that gives the date
and has other static infromation but no buttons to cancel
and no "X" in the upper right hand corner to close. A left
mouse click can not close it. It also does not indicate
what it is reminding me of. No program name etc. It does
show in the process window and I can close it from there
but this is a big pain. How can I get rid of this? Thanks
for your help in advance.
