reminders not working

my calendar reminders are not working in Outlook 2003 ... i'm talking to an
exchange server

i don't get any errors ... the reminders just don't pop up - i have made the
selection to have them pop up in tools options etc

i read various threads and so tried outlook.exe /resetfolders
/cleanreminders ... it runs but no obvious activity/errors ... reminders
still don't work

i use the smartphone sync software = mightyphone and i see from posts the
suggestion is software like this screws up the reminders ... i've asked
mightyphone but they point to outlook

any ideas??

from other posts i think the suggestion is try a new profile ... how do i do
that (i'm talking to exchange) & does it mean i get an empty calendar then &
have to recreate everything??

Are these reminders in your default folders?

thanks Brian - the new profile did the trick ... not sure what you mean
by the question "Are these reminders in your default folders?". The reminders
are on calendar entries/appointments but I don't know how this relates to
folders like Inbox, Sent Mail etc.
