Reminder for "follow-up" flag?

With Outlook 2002, I can set a "follow-up" flag on
messages and give a "due date" ... when the due date rolls
around, a reminder pops up. But ONLY if the message is in
my Inbox ... if it's in my Sent Mail folder or any other
folder (including any subfolder of the Inbox) then no
reminder pops up. Is there a way to change this so that a
reminder will pop up regardless of what folder the message
is in?

Reminders will only fire in default folders in Outlook - and that included
the sent items folder. However, there is an application written by Outlook
MVP Ken Slovak that will let reminders fire from any folder in your default
mail store - http://www.slovaktech.com/extendedreminders.htm

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

One correction, reminders by default will *not* fire from Sent Items. Only
from the default Inbox, Calendar, Tasks and Contacts folders.

Interesting, as I had one fire from my work Outlook 2000 in my sent items -
or was it a flag?

In Sent Items an item with a flag/reminder will only turn red unless you are
using software that extends the Outlook reminders. That's been the same
since Outlook 97.
