Pop up reminder to Follow up

How can I make a sent item pop up in a week and remind me to follow up on
it? I have tried marking it with the followup red rose, but it just sits in
a folder. I need it to pop up at a designated date and time and remind me to
follow up.

TIA,
Kathy

Did you right click and add a reminder to the flag? What version of
Outlook?

Sorry...Version 2002, (10.6822.6830) SP3
I don't see add a reminder as an option. I right clicked on the message in
the inbox.

What version of Outlook, if any, WILL pop up reminders to follow up on
emails?

2002 *will* pop up reminders to follow up on emails. It *won't* pop up
reminders for emails not in the Inbox.

2007, iirc, switched to all folders.

So, either spend lots of money to get 2007, plus hardware updates if needed
to run what is definitely a bit more processor/ram intensive, or $15 (unless
it's gone up a bit) for that reminder thing mentioned in the article I
pointed to above.

Drag the email and drop it over the Task folder to create a task - set
the reminder there. This action should capture the subject and text
of the email so you won't have to cut and paste.
