Remembering Settings

L

Loren Saar

When my system boots it comes up with a screen resolution
of 640 X 480 and color quality of 8 bit. I change the
resolution to 800 X 600 with color quality of 32 bit,
apply it and then OK. Everything works fine during that
session. However, when I boot again, the system does not
remember the settings I applied in the previous session.
What am I doing wrong???

Loren,

While not a "fix", there is a work around. See www.dougknox.com, Win XP
Utilities, Keep User Display Settings. This small application was written
to allow users to have their own desktop resolution. It can also be used to
change your display resolution, automatically at logon, until you can get
this issue sorted out.
