Remembering Passwords & Automatic complete

I get the screen asking me if I want windows to remember
my name and password so I do not have to enter it again.
I click yes (I click nothing else period).
The next time windows does not remember my password so I
have to retype it. I get the screen back asking me if I
want to remember it and I click YES. Still does not
remember password.

I have gone to Tools, Internet Options, Content, Auto
Complete and every option in the window is checked.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem.

I had to reformat my hard drive and that is when the
problem started.
Before I reformatted, I went to a website and got
information on how to go to the registry to change XP to
remember the passwords like it did in Windows 98.

Does anyone now how to do that?
