Relocation advice from Microsoft

A couple of days or so ago, I installed a security update which
Microsoft had downloaded to my computer.
On startup the next day, I had the following Microsoft message - quote:

"RTHDCPL.EXE - Illegal System DLL Relocation

The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will
not run properly. The relation occurred because the DLL
C"\WINDOWS\system32HHCRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for
Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted
for a new DLL."

I have not personally installed anything other than the security fix. I
don't know if my antivirus software installed anything, since those
updates take place automatically without my seeing them. Can anyone
tell me what this is about? I can't fix it myself. Many thanks.

See this:

You can uninstall the update in Control Panel - Add/Remove.

Yes, the first place I went to was my Control Panel. On my previous
computer, Control Panel - Add/Remove itemized every MS update installed.
With this new computer, not one is shown. Strange. Is there some other
place to look for the updates?

Thank you both for directing me to the Knowledge Base article, which is
most helpful.

You're welcome. The article also points to a fix. To see all your
installed updates, in Add/Remove Programs you have to check the box at the
top that says 'Show updates'.
