I am trying to reload Windows Xp and it is asking me for
the file sysagp.sys. It is looking for it in Windows and
can't seem to locate it. I just had an ASUS Motherboard
installed.

This is a common occurrence on re-installs. Windows XP is
attempting to load drivers that are specific to your machine.
(Video drivers, Audio and custom peripherals like TV cards)

Most of the files are resident on the drive already, but XP
does not find them in the expected locations. When the box
for location appears on the screen, there are a couple of
standard locations you can type in to help it along.

C:\Windows\System
C:\Windows\System32
C:\Windows\Inf

Some components will reside in one of those folders, while
others will be in a different location. Unfortunately, there is no
one magic location so you have to hunt around for it. This is
why it is important to save driver sets on your hard drive. If
the install is done from CD-ROM, a re-install like you are
involved with gets much more difficult. If the driver sets are
on the hard drive you could just point the installer to that one
location.

Thanks - I tried the 3 paths and then tried searching C:
and I still can't locate.....do I keep trying?

Thanks again
Lori

Thanks for your help....I found it
