Reloading Windows XP Pro

I have been having problems logging onto a secured web site and the vendor
recommends "reloading windows" to solve the problem. I can't seem to find
any documentation regarding this, and I'm concerned with what will happen if
I go and reload the OS. Will the reload delete all files on the system such
as documents, settings, and Outlook files? I'm really resistent to the
re-load, but it seems that it's the "fix" of last resort and I do need access
to this web site to work properly. Thanks for any input you can give.

Usually, in my cases (a few dozen installs of XP) an over, or reinstall - if
you will, install bloats a system to the point of irritation and in some
cases near unusable.

An over-install (Repair) will not delete any of your
documents/email/favorites (it will add the default items back though) etc.
items.

I you are simply interested in system files: Run | cmd At the prompt
enter sfc /? Read what it does and pick an option.

I would first, manually delete all your cookies and then
try to go into the site. You might something messed up
there.

Have you installed SP2? See if this link helps:
