I have to reformat my hard drive. I have 4 computers all running Windows xp
home
I have marked each computer with the cd it came with. But I can not find the
one I am looking for. I have the product key and other numbers that are on
the sticker
My question is can I use any cd to reinstall it

Yes you can use any cd. The license key can be used with any XP cd.

Hope this helps

Can't be entirely sure, but the CD should be at the same Service Pack as the
CD you are not able to find.
Also if they are OEM CD's, may/will not work if the key code you have is
from a different OEM.

The CDs don't contain the product key. If the CDs are the same with respect
to Home vs. Professional, Full vs. Upgrade, and Retail vs. OEM, they are
identical and you can use any of them.

No, not quite true. Read the message I just sent in this thread.
