Related to post "virus/ adaware???"

Hi

This is related to my posts on "virus/ adaware???" & "safe mode" on the
10/16/2004. I did get through to safe mode and checked for viruses and
adaware & removed what was found by norton, ad-aware pro & trendmicro. It
found about 8 trojans although they had the same name "start..." can't
remember the rest and some spy-aware. Sorry that i haven't updated u guys on
the situation, but after doing this internet explorer & anything that
connects to the internet isn't able to connect to the internet. The
connection establishes as i've done ipconfig and some other stuff and the
packs go through non are lost. Any software that tries to connect says that
the port isn't available or something. I've tried changing ports but they all
seem to be in the same situation. On top of that my norton 2004 firewall
stoped working & the virus checker too... Its as if there's still some virus
doing all of this or maybe i've removed something important? Reinstalled the
virus checker and the firewall and now i can't even enable them, its as if
something is blocking it. I think everytthing else seems to be working fine
for the moment. Got this virus/adaware from "www.extranjeros.eu.tf" in its
forum... Don't advise u to go there unless u know what your doing... I won't
be able to check your advise until tomorrow since i'll be going to uni.

If you removed malware and you no longer can connect to the Internet then the
WINSOCK needs to be repaired. You can use LSP-FIX to repair it.
