Reinstalling WinXP

After reinstalling WinXP, I have discovered my sound device is no longer
available. In additon, the option to change my monitor dipslay area is
grayed out. What can I do to resolve this issue? Would I need to reinstall
WinXP again?

Reinstalling Windows again isn't going to solve your problem.

I'd guess you are missing drivers for your sound card and video card...

Hello,

Look for a drivers CD that should have come with your PC. Insert the CD and
you should be guided through to install the chipset/video/audio drivers.

containing drivers. Is there somewhere I can go to download the drivers and
install onto my PC??

You can download the software from the manufacturer's website.

If unsure which manufacturer, you can use Unknown Devices utility to help
identify the devices

The best way to obtain the drivers is to access your Dell/HP website and
start from there with the model number.
