You need a CD. What is your computer make and model?

What problems?

Have a look in the System logs in Event Viewer for Errors and Warnings and
post copies here. Don't post any more than 48 hours ago.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

Hope this helps.

Most preinstalled systems have a Recovery Partition that is activated at
boot by pushing a keyboard sequence.
This is usually explained in the manual that came with the system...wether
it be a paper or .pdf version.
Preinstalled System also prompt you to make a backup copy of the OS when you
1st turn the system on which I guess you ignored.
The make and model of your system would help someone here give you more
specific instructions

If you didn't receive a restore CD then there's a good chance that your
restoration software is on a hidden partition on the hard drive. You'll
need to read the computer's documentation to find out exactly what
you'll need to do to reinstall Windows.

If you can not get info re Recovery partition, from a Manual, contact the
computer Manufeacturer, regarding info on how to reinstall from recovery
partition, or ask them to ship you Recovery disk/s.

It should be only a nominal fee for disk/s
