Reinstalling IE6

What will I lose if I reinstall to try to solve some
launching problems? specifically, will I lose my mail
folders and my favorites?

You usually won't lose anything, but play it safe:

For IE, File | Import and Export.
For OE See Backup and Restore at this site:
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com
The site starts out with a link to a free OE backup program.
