Uninstall/Reinstall - how to save favorites in Internet Explorer

I had a previous versionof IE. I loaded IE6 today, and I'm having the same problem as Barry, whenI select the IE icon, my screen flashes and nothing happens. I have run a virus check, deleted some adware (binet and ncase) but no viruses. I thought I would uninstall and reinstall IE6, but don't know if I will lose all my favorites? Anyone know where the web locations are stored? Thanks
 
You probably won't lose them but export your favorites to a single
file with IE-File-Export.

Alan - thanks for the suggestion, but how do I do a file export if I can't run IE? Neil
 
Good point.
In that case find the Favorites folder in Explorer and take a copy.
The location can vary.
You can either search for that folder or find the location by
Start-Favorites, rightclick a Favorite, select Properties and look at
the General tab.
