reinstalling IE6

Hello. I am trying to reinstall IE6 and OE6 but with no luck. I tried the
windows add-remove components but with no luck The program says that there
is a newer instance of IE on my computer and it will not install. I am
using windows xpsp2. Thanks.

Actually I don't have IE7 on my computer at all. so now what? I tried
googleing for this withno luck. I've even tried toreinstall sp2 but my
maching freezes during the install. It looks like I'm in deeper trouble as
my OS is concerned.
