IE 6 Problem

Using XPSP2 with IE6. (don't want 7). The following just started recently.

I can open IE 6 from the desktop and my homepage opens with no problem. But,
when I click a link (from my favorites, or for that matter from OE6), IE6
opens a blank page then without any input it reverts back to whatever I
clicked the link from. It then opens another blank IE6 web page and again
reverts back. This cycle continues until I intervene and stop it. The
website from the link never opens, just blank pages. Anyone ever experience
this and know a fix for it.

Thanks

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing Messenger Plus, whose ads for
malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince you that you
owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.

Thanks Frank,

Ran AdAware, and Spybot and they found 10 problems between them. Deleted
the problems and all is working as it should.

Thanks again
