reinstalling drivers

hello,
i recently unistalled my drivers on my computer so when i type in
DXDIAG on run, and click on the display tab it comes up with no device on the
left hand side. so i got the drivers and utilites disk that came with my
computer and tried installing a new one but as of now when it opens up the
install program it stays for a couple of seconds then exits. how can i
reinstall my device again. it was a nvidia geforce fx 5200, just to let you
know. please help. thanks in advance.

Remove the video card in device manager. Have your nvidia installation
driver CD ready. Reboot your computer. When Windows launches the Found New
Hardware Wizard, tell it you have the disk and put the nvidia CD in your CD
or DVD drive. Unless, of course, the instructions that came with your video
card tell you to install the drivers a different way. You do have the
nvidia installation CD, right?

When all else fails, check the installation instructions on the nvidia
website.
