reinstalled xp and now it doesnt recognize sound card

have a hp pavillion and it repartioned the hard drive and
reinstalled xp and now it says no sound card is installed.
any ideas?
 
didnt come with drivers on disk as normal. im trying to
get them from hp. hopefully this will work.
 
Did you not get a CD with the system that had all the drivers; i.e. chipset,
sound, etc?
