After reinstalling 2000 my desktop icon for logging into
my dialup no longer works. I tried to set up a new dial-up
account using the Wizard and when I get to the page where
it asks "connection name" no matter what I enter I get a
message:
"Entry is not a valid name, blah, blah, must be at least
one character, can't begin with period..., etc"
No matter what I enter in the field I get this message.
I noticed that the reinstall also replaced IE6 with IE5.
Now I'm wondering if all my Windows updates have been
negated even though they are logged as having been done.
Could this be part of the problem? Appreciate any and all
comments!
