I installed XP Home over 98SE with what I thought was a
new copy of XP Home, only to find out after the
installation that it had been used before. I got my
money back & purchased a new XP Home, orginal, retail
copy.

Do I have to un-install the previous version or is there
a method of installing the new copy without having to go
through the un-install process?

Thanks

Hi Jim,

You can place the CD in the drive and do an in-place upgrade.
