I lost my cd drive an do not have a boot disk, is there a
way to reinstall without the disk, or is there a way to
access my cd drive without booting up

Hi,

If your system supports booting from the CD drive, it will show in the
system BIOS. The WinXP CD itself is bootable, so if your system supports it,
you don't need a boot disk.

If the CD drive is broken, replacements are very cheap and easy to install.
You boot from the CD and do a clean install.
Click on or copy and paste the link below into your web browser address bar.

Without CD.
If you somehow can copy the XP CD to the hard drive, boot from a Win 98/Me
boot disk and run setup from the i386 folder. The setup file is "winnt.exe".
