When I purchased FP2002 - I put it on my old W98 system... that was a couple of years ago. Now, I want to put it on my XP system - mainly so I can upgrade it to FP2003.
When I try to install on XP, after putting in the serial numbers, I get a message: Product Compliance Check - Setup failed to locate a valid qualifying product on your machine....
I have MS Office for XP installed - I didn't think a prerequisite was necessary. Will I have to purchase a totally new (full) version of FP?

Office is not a valid product for upgrading FP unless it actual came with FP.

You should be able to use your current FP2002 CD to upgrade to FP2003.

sounds like FP2002 itself is an upgrade from an earlier version, that is why it's
saying 'no qualifying product found' and can't install it in XP. It's looking
for an earlier version of FP i.e. 2000, or 98 etc, and even though you have ms
office installed, frontpage is not. It is not part of the MS Office suite - it
is a standalone product

You may have to invest in the full product FP 2003.
