Registry Startup (System Configuration)

Hello all,

I noticed that whenever I run "msconfig" and select the "startup" tab there
are applications still listed that I uninstalled long ago. Half the items
listed in the Startup group have been uninstalled but they still appear in
the list.

Is there a way to get rid of the uninstalled applications so they don't
appear there anymore? I know there must be a registry key that holds that
information but I don't know which one it is.

Anyone care to jump in and add your two cents please feel free ;-)

Start>Run>regedit [enter]

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared
Tools\MSConfig\startupfolder

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg

Delete the subkeys under each main key that you don't want to show.
