Registry setting to Enable Local Area Connection

Hello

I have a machine where the user disabled the network connection.
No one can find the administrator password.
I have tried using Petter Nordahl-Hagens offline editor to no avail.
Netsh does not work.

Is there a registry setting I can re-enable to turn the network
connection back to enable?

Thanks
John Brown

Hi John - I assume you're on some version of Win2k. If so, and you can burn
an .iso to CD, then you can try Method 1, here:

or the bootable floppy approach, here:

Thanks for the response Jim

Unfortunately I have run out of time and have had to go a little
drastic.
I have reinstalled W2K Pro on the workstation in an alternate folder
and backed up all the important files to a server.

I am just about to hit it again and re-image the machine.

I will definitely keep these two links for the future but also install
an alternate Admin account on this machine locally. Good thing the
rest of them are okay this way. An old machine I adopted and (oops)
took for granted.

thank you again for your help.
