Enabling Local Area Connection using keyboard

Is there a way to enable the Local Area Connection just using the keyboard?

I recently replaced a computer but keep the old one handy and networked just
in case I need to copy over some files/settings. The old computer has no
screen, and I use it from the new machine using Real VNC. I was updating the
firewall on the old machine and in a moment of insanity I disabled the local
area connection - which of course meant I could no longer access the machine
with Real VNC. Now I want to re-enable the network, but hopefully without
having to dig out an old monitor and connect it up.

Grateful for suggestions.

Why not use a KVM switch?

I think you could use the netsh command to do this. Try using google to see
if you can.
