I'm trying to install my scanner software on a IBM Thinkpad x21 running XP Pro. After about 2/3 of the installation runs, I get this error message "Registry Initializer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." No where on the MS website does it address this problem. Any help with this would be appreciated

Here are the specifics from the error signature
