Registry errors cause of program hangs??

Went to pcpitstop.com, ran a scan it said I had 409 registry errors ?Running
XP home edition on a compaq pressario with AMD processor. Task manger says 50
processes and 0-35 cpu usage.Do not think its avirus problem or ad ware
problem. I have run AVG and Norton Anti-virus. I have also run Microsoft
Anti-spy, Yahoo anti-spy, ad-aware, and spy-bot adware with no results.
Problem has been going on for months. Any suggestions or do I use this
computer as a door stop ?

Part of youre problem probably lies in running so much junk software...Try
opening task mgr, write down the unknowns, then go to search at my computer,
enter the .exe see what all is running. After, you can run Msconfig or go to
run,
type:services.msc In msc,double click the service,then select
disable,manual,or
auto start. Change the running services or uninstall them.

Registry errors can be anything. Entries pointing to nonexistent files can
add up to 409 in no time at all if the registry isn't cleaned once in a
while.

Either clean the registry or don't go to pcpitstop.com and don't worry about
it.
