Wrong name above the quoted text Bob, but I'll forgive you, here's a link
http://www.openoffice.org/

No, no mistake bloned. I already use OOo. The Secretary of War uses MS
Office. She claims the OOo spreadsheet is too different from Excel, and
isn't quite compatible with spreadsheets she uses at work. I think it's all
in her head. Why don't you tell her that for me? That look I would get would
absolutely corrode stainless steel. :)

I meant to say that you quoted some text with my name above it that I didn't
write, that's all.
Would love to tell her, just give me an email-adres.

What is the best freeware registry cleaner? EasyCleaner, RegSeeker,
RegClean, RegscrubXP? Are there any better ones out there?

And what would be best for Win 98 ?

TIA

I like jv16 Powertools 1.3 (last freeware version). Comes with a few
other nice tools.

I've been using EasyCleaner, and it usually finds 10-20 entries to
delete (weekly).
Following your post, I've just d/l'd and run RegSeeker.
It finds a whopping 1,373 entries to delete.

Green or red? I never touch the red unless I personally investigate the
entry or it is obviously recognizable. What do others do with the red
entries?

More or less what you do. I think it's safe to delete most of the red
entries. You may lose one or two file asoiciations, but they're easily
restored. A number of entries are always put back automatically by
Windoze though.
