Question about RegSeeker...

S

SinisA

When scanning is done I got lots of entries on the list, but they are not
colored (no red or green comments) so I don't know what is safe to erase !
RegSeeker ver. 1.35
XP Home
How do I make RegSeeker to display colored entries ? Some tweak or is there
other (newer) version of RegSeeker that I'm not aware of ?
TIA

P.S. Please, don't send suggestions for other registry cleaners; I don't
want to give up on RegSeeker just yet.

Settings are in color schemes.

Settings are in color schemes.

I doubt that this is a good answer. Those color schemes are for the
computer, not for regseeker. As far as I can see.

I have used regseeker for a long time and have only seen yellow entries.

Either there are no color coded entries, as we can see in some other
reg cleaners, or I have only found yellow entries because no dangerous
entries have been found.

My guess is that regseeker does not color code the entries in different
levels.

I have seen that in other programs though.

I always delete all entries and I have never had any problems, so I
think regseeker only shows entries which are safe to delete.

regseeker is careful enough too mark all and delete .

win2k and regseeker since their start .

With all due respect, that advice is a tad bit frightening.

With reasonable backup there is no reason to worry.

Regseeker itself makes a backup you can restore if something goes wrong.
You can also use a partition image program to save a copy of your C:
drive.

I was referring to screen shots of RegSeeker on
http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm where you can see red or green
comments under displayed entries.

Okay, now we understand the question.

I don't have any definitive answer though. I get only black text under
the entries.

Maybe the author had that color coding in an earlier version, or I
haven't found any colored entries yet.

I wonder why some people see colors and others don't.

Is my computer very clean so I get only black ones, or is
there actually a setting somewhere?

I do not remember setting anything up. An example of a green one is
"File or Path does not exist" a red one "Extension not used". On my W2K
I only get green and red.
