Registering Windows XP

I purchased a Sony VAIO computer last week on an "open
box" basis from Circuit City. When I set it up, I found
out that the computer had previously been purchased by
Meghan and, for one reason or another, she had returned
it. I would like to register the Windows XP that was
preloaded in my computer but cannot find out how to do
it. The site talks about "activating" but does not tell
me how to do it.

Goto Start>>Run>>Type "%SYSTEMROOT%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /A" - This
lanuchs the system activation/registration app.
