Registered Owner;

this is part two of a question asked earlier this week.It
was about the registered owner screen that pops up when I
open Microsoft word.I wanted to change the
"registered to field".I followed the directions of a
past reply and couldnt find registered owner or
registered organization after I reached current
version.Is there something I missed,this is the path I
followed "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current
Version\RegisteredOwner".Im running windows XP on top of
Windows ME,maybe that will help more.Once again thank you
in advance for your time.

If you cannot find the key by browsing the registry, simply
perform a search for the information as it's currently displayed.

What version of Word are you using? Word 97 reads the
RegisteredOwner/RegisteredOrganization information from the registry
_only_ during installation, and must be removed and reinstalled to
make the change. Word 2000 and Word 2002 also read the
RegisteredOwner/RegisteredOrganization information from the registry
during installation, but allow one to make the changes from within
Word. Tools > Options > User Information.
