Now that I have IIS successfully installed, my family can
view my personal website by typing in my IP address.

Is it possible to have them type a registered domain name
(I have already purchased a name www.j-r-k.com) into
their browser instead of my IP address? If so, how can I
do this?

You need someone (ISP) to do DNS for your registered name. You also need a
static IP Address. Alternatively you can use a service like dns2go, dyndns,
or no-ip.
