register.ini

I have Windows Xp Pro.
I want to install some new software, but I keep getting an error message.
It says that it cannot find... C:\Program
Files\Scansoft\NaturallySpeaking8\Program\Register.ini
I haven't installed any software for about a year this so this is the first
time it's come to light.
Can anyone help me to re-install the missing; register.ini

Hi,

This is a Windows installer issue within XP that hasn't been resolved as of
yet. (

What is the exact name of the program you are trying to install? In the
meantime:

Windows Installer Fix (Line 94)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Go to Start/Run and type in:
msiexec /unregister [click ok]

Then Start/Run and type in:
msiexec /regserver [click ok]
