Thanks for all the advice I received recently when
enquiring about an effective Registry Cleaner which would
help MSAS run smoothly. I tried the free CCleaner -
which was very easy to use. Then tried Windows Registry
Repair Pro (on special offer at the moment) which found
over 240 offending items - which I cleared. I was then
hooked and tried Registry First Aid which found a further
98 - which I cleared 10 x 10 because I didn't want to
purchase another piece of software. Then tried Registry
Fix - and it found more offending items!!!

I may be a novice but this all smacks of "kidology" to me
and I would appreciate the opinions of the experts.

Some of the items found are false positives but that doesn't answer you
question. Differant almost always find something others did not. I myself
picked 2 that I use--CCleaner and Windows Registry Repais. I feel that they
do a good job for me and I am well satisfied. I picked these 2 as both were
highly recommended by PC World. Many sellers say there are problems so as
to get you to puschase their product. I don't recommend what you should buy
I just answered you original question. You should make your own decision.
Use which ever one makes you system perform better.
Good hunting.

Many thanks for your reply. I am using the same
two "cleaners" and it is reassuring to know that they are
highly recommended by PC World.
