I have a problem with my regedit.exe application. I don't
know how long the problem has existed, but it appeared
when I attempted to install my SBC Yahoo DSL service.
In the final stages of installing the program, I received
a message entitled, "REGEDIT.EXE The application failed
to initialize properly (0xc0000005)." I got the very same
message when I tried to open "regedit" from the START/Run
dialog box.
Dell Tech Support had me perform a "scandsk /r" using my
Windows XP recovery CD, but the repair did not resolve the
problem.
Does anyone know what I might try to do?
